What raw means

Raw hair is human hair in its natural state. It's cut from a single donor, cleaned, and sewn into wefts. That's it.

• No chemical processing. It's never steamed, acid-washed, permed or coated in silicone to fake a pattern or shine.
• Cuticles intact and aligned. Every strand runs in the same direction, root to tip, which is what keeps it smooth and tangle-free for longer.
• Natural colour. Shades range naturally from 1B to dark brown, so you may see slight variation from bundle to bundle. That's how you know it's real.
• Natural texture. Patterns can vary slightly between bundles, just like hair on different parts of your own head.

Where our hair comes from

Our hair is collected from individual donors in Southeast Asia, where long hair is grown and cared for over many years. We work with an established sourcing partner who collects hair directly from donors and sews each bundle by hand.

Because the hair comes from real people and not a factory, supply is limited. Some lengths and textures sell out, and that is part of what makes raw hair special.

The ethics behind every bundle

The hair industry has a history of exploiting the people whose hair it sells. We don't want any part of that. These are the standards we hold our sourcing to:

• Consent. Hair must be given willingly by the donor.
• Fair payment. Donors must be paid fairly for their hair.
• Adult donors only.
• Safe, respectful work. The people who sort, clean and sew our hair must work in safe conditions for fair wages.
• Honest labelling. If it says raw, it's raw. We never blend in synthetic or animal hair.

How we check quality

Every order is inspected before it ships to you.

• Length: measured, so 22" means 22".
• Shedding: wefts are checked for loose or shedding hair.
• Tangling: the hair is combed through root to tip.
• Pattern: textures are checked to match within a set.
